Teppachi! Episode 2 – Story

Kokusho Hiroshi (Machida Keita), a candidate for the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force officer, gets into a brawl with Arai Ryuji (Sato Kanta), his classmate in Class 1, at the gym in the unit’s barracks. One of the instructors, 1st Lieutenant Sakurama Fuyumi (Shiraishi Mai), scolds him, saying, “Having a person, even just one, who disrupts the order can be fatal.” When Yame Junichi (Kitamura Kazuki), the commander of the training unit, learns of this, he challenges him, saying, “Is that how you want to live your life, running away?” Yame challenges Hiroshi that, if he wanted to settle the score with Arai, he should settle it not through a fight but through training.

Unable to back down, Hiroshi accepts the challenge. He asks Baba Yoshinari (Sano Hayato), also a member of Class 1, to be a witness and challenges Arai to a match. Arai, on the other hand, says that it is boring just to compete, and suggests a condition that the loser will quit the team. From then on, Hiroshi and Arai begin to compete with each other not only during training but also during cleaning and free time. Seeing the two, Maruyama Eiichi (Tokito Yuki), Watanabe Atsushi (Sakaguchi Ryotaro), Ogura Yasuo (Ikeda Eikichi), and Nishi Kenta (Fujioka Maito) of Class 1 bet on who will win, but Baba, who knows the truth, is alone and worried. Then the day of the physical fitness test comes andā€¦
